A Storm of Swords is widely considered the best book in George R.R. Martin's epic A Song of Ice and Fire series – and for good reason. Picking up where A Clash of Kings left off, the war for the Iron Throne continues to rage across Westeros. Joffrey sits uneasily on the throne, Stannis is defeated, Robb fights for the North, and Daenerys crosses a blood-drenched continent with her three growing dragons. But this book is famous for its shocking twists – the legendary ''Red Wedding'' will leave you staring at the page in disbelief. No character is safe. No one is beyond death. Martin's writing is masterful, the politics are complex, and the battles are brutal. This is fantasy at its absolute best. If you loved Game of Thrones on HBO, you must read this book. A must-read for all fantasy lovers.
