In Dennis's world, every well-intentioned action leads to chaos, and everyone around him ends up feeling like they're standing on their heads.

Mr. Wilson, Dennis's favorite neighbor, continues to be the primary victim of Dennis's upside-down logic. Their interactions are comedy gold: the grumpy old man who craves order and the energetic little boy who turns order into chaos. Mr. Wilson's attempts to maintain his sanity while Dennis turns his world topsy-turvy are endlessly entertaining.

What makes this collection so enjoyable is its perfect capture of childhood logic. Every parent will recognize the moment when a child's ''help'' creates ten times more work. Every adult will remember being a child and not understanding why the ''obvious'' solution wasn't appreciated.

Ketcham's artwork is simple but brilliantly expressive. A single panel can convey Dennis's innocent enthusiasm, his parents' weary resignation, and Mr. Wilson's impending explosion with perfect clarity.
