Book Review:
A Charming Escape to the English Countryside!
Katie Fforde's Living Dangerously is exactly the kind of warm, witty, and wonderful read you need to curl up with on a rainy afternoon. The story introduces us to Polly Cameron, a delightfully relatable heroine who is content with her simple, uncomplicated life in the English countryside. She has her cat, her job at the local café, a budding passion for pottery, and a firm resolve to stay away from the complications of romance.

But as the title playfully suggests, Polly's life is about to get a whole lot more complicated. Her well-intentioned mother and a cast of quirky friends are determined to find her a husband, throwing a series of eligible (and not-so-eligible) bachelors her way. Amidst the chaos of the ''Save Our High Street'' campaign and her attempts to launch her pottery career, Polly finds that love might just be the most dangerous – and rewarding – adventure of all.

Fforde's writing is as comforting as a cup of tea. Her characters are charmingly eccentric and feel like friends you'd love to have. The romantic tension is perfectly paced, and the humor is gentle yet genuinely laugh-out-loud at times. As praised by the Sunday Times, it's truly ''delicious.''
