This is a novel from Rosie Thomas about friendship, love, and change. Miranda Meadow invites five of her oldest friends to live with her in her crumbling country house. They all have reasons to accept. They laugh, dance, and drink, trying to recapture the past. But old attractions resurface alongside new tensions. When the outside world descends on their retreat, the future that beckons is very different from the one they imagined. A thoughtful and engaging read.
