The Incorruptibles of the World by Anton Abeysekera – a graduate in Chemistry and Biological Science from the University of Ceylon – examines the phenomenon of Catholic holy persons whose bodies remained undecomposed after death under normal burial conditions. Featuring 128 saints and holy people, the book explores their life stories, the condition of their bodies, and the manner of their interment. Medical science offers no explanation for these phenomena, which challenge natural processes like rigor mortis and putrefaction. Abeysekera asks whether these individuals were special, and whether they received divine gifts or charisms. Previously author of Timely Messages from Mary to the World and The Eucharistic Miracles of the World, Abeysekera writes from a faithful Catholic perspective.
