''Terry Brooks is a master of epic fantasy, and 'Antrax' is a solid and exciting entry in the Shannara saga. As the middle book in a trilogy, it does exactly what it should: it deepens the conflicts, develops the characters, and raises the stakes.

The novel splits the party into two main storylines, which keeps the pacing brisk. The underground sequences with Walker Boh facing the ancient AI 'Antrax' are particularly compelling, blending fantasy with a touch of sci-fi. Meanwhile, the surface story explores the emotional core of the series—the complicated relationship between Bek and the Ilse Witch.

While it's very much a 'bridge' book that sets up the grand finale, it's never boring. The action is well-paced, and the world-building is, as always, top-notch. If you're a fan of traditional high fantasy with a mix of magic and mystery, this is a great continuation of a classic series.''
