The heart of this book is Juliette's internal conflict—grappling with her identity, her guilt, and her feelings for both Adam and the surprisingly layered Warner. Warner's character, in particular, is explored in greater depth, transforming him from a clear-cut villain into a morally gray figure that challenges both Juliette and the reader.
