''Flames of Revenge'' is a Commando issue that brilliantly uses the premise of an unlikely alliance to drive its narrative, set against the less common backdrop of the East African Campaign of WWII.

The story immediately sets up high stakes with a literal raging bushfire, forcing a British soldier, his Italian POW, and a local Ethiopian warrior into a desperate partnership for survival. This natural disaster acts as a great equalizer, stripping away their official enemy status and reducing them to three men fighting for their lives. The real hook is that this temporary team decides to stay together, transforming into a vengeance-driven posse hunting a ruthless killer.

This plot allows for rich character dynamics. The inherent tensions between a soldier, his prisoner, and a local with his own motives create constant underlying friction, making their cooperation all the more compelling. The Ethiopian setting adds a unique flavor, moving beyond the European front.
