Book Review :
Isaac Asimov's Foundation is a cornerstone of the science fiction genre. The novel introduces the vast Galactic Empire on the brink of collapse. Hari Seldon, a brilliant mathematician, invents psychohistory—a science that can predict the future on a large scale. Foreseeing a 30,000-year dark age, he establishes two Foundations at opposite ends of the galaxy to preserve human knowledge and shorten this period of barbarism to just 1,000 years. The story then follows the first few crises the Foundation faces on the remote planet Terminus, using Seldon's预先 planned solutions. While the book is more focused on grand ideas, historical parallels, and intellectual strategy than on character-driven action, it is an incredibly thought-provoking and influential read. It's a must-read for any fan of epic, world-building science fiction.
