Foundation and Earth is the direct sequel to Foundation's Edge and the fifth novel in Isaac Asimov's groundbreaking Foundation series. The story follows Golan Trevize, the Councilman who made the crucial decision regarding humanity's future by choosing the superorganism planet of Gaia over the two rival Foundations. Now, Trevize is plagued by doubt. Was his choice the right one? He is convinced that the answer lies hidden on humanity's legendary homeworld: Earth. The problem is, no one knows where Earth is, or even if it still exists. All records of its location have been lost to time. Accompanied by the historian Janov Pelorat and Bliss, a representative of Gaia, Trevize sets off on a quest across the galaxy to find Earth. Their journey takes them to mysterious and dangerous worlds, where they encounter remnants of humanity's past and uncover secrets that challenge everything they know.
