Ana Huang kicks off her Kings of Sin series with ''King of Wrath,'' a steamy and engaging arranged marriage romance that delivers exactly what fans of the genre crave. The story introduces us to Dante Russo, the epitome of a cold, controlled, and powerful alpha billionaire, and Vivian Lau, a sophisticated heiress who is more than just a pretty face. Their families force them into a business merger of a marriage, leading to instant animosity and fierce clashes of will.

Huang is a pro at building tension, and the push-and-pull between Dante and Vivian is electrifying. Dante's initial wrath and reluctance slowly melt away as he discovers Vivian's intelligence and strength, while Vivian learns to see past Dante's harsh exterior to the man burdened by responsibility. The progression from resentment to reluctant respect to burning passion is satisfying to watch. The book is filled with luxurious settings, high-stakes business drama, and plenty of spicy scenes. If you enjoy the tropes of forced proximity, marriage of convenience, and a grumpy hero who falls hard, ''King of Wrath'' is a highly entertaining read. It sets the stage well for the rest of the series, focusing on other powerful ''Kings.''
