Book Review:
''Explorers on the Moon'' is the seventeenth adventure in the Tintin series, first published in 1952. This book is the thrilling conclusion to the two-part story that began with ''Destination Moon'' – and it remains one of the most ambitious and exciting Tintin adventures ever created.
The story picks up immediately where ''Destination Moon'' left off. The rocket has launched, and Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, and the crew are on their way to the Moon. But they soon discover a stowaway – the son of a criminal who is determined to sabotage the mission. What follows is a tense, claustrophobic thriller set in the vast emptiness of space.
Once on the Moon, the crew faces one crisis after another: a dwindling oxygen supply, dangerous crevasses, zero-gravity mishaps, and a desperate struggle to repair their damaged rocket before it's too late. Hergé's artwork is stunning – the lunar landscapes, the weightless movements, and the detailed interior of the rocket are all masterfully drawn. This is science fiction at its best: smart, suspenseful, and visually breathtaking.
