This is where the legendary Tintin series began. Published in 1929, ''In the Land of the Soviets'' introduces readers to the brave young reporter Tintin and his faithful dog Snowy. The story is a fast-paced adventure filled with spies, secret police, and narrow escapes across Soviet Russia. Hergé's early drawing style is raw and energetic, very different from his later clean ''ligne claire'' style. While the political satire is dated, the book offers a fascinating glimpse into European pre-World War II comics. A must-read for any Tintin fan or comic history enthusiast.
